Turf: Granular Fertilizer
Granular
Fertilizer
Nutrients will not wash away or burn out your lawn and are
metered out steadily over a period of time. This slow-release
method allows for your grass to grow thicker and greener instead
of longer and faster.
How
does granular fertilizer work?
When it comes to a synthetic blend of granular fertilizer,
chemicals are accurately measured out to create a specific
combination. The bonus of having an exact blend allows us
to predict how your lawn will react to the application and
also gives us the opportunity to distinctively define the
right blend in relation to the weather (how hot or cool it
may be, expected precipitation and humidity. For more information
and to view graphs, check out Seasonal
Information). Another benefit to granular fertilizer is
the product is time-released, meaning that the fertilizer
does not release 100% of itself upon application immediately
like a liquid application. The granular fertilizer will continue
to break down over time, dependent on dew and precipitation,
permitting more time between applications.
N-P-K
Nitrogen, Phosphorous, and Potash (Potassium). These are the three
major nutrient contents which are found in fertilizer. Other nutrients
may include a blend of calcium, sulfur, magnesium and micro nutrients.
