Over 25 years ago, John (owner of Grounds Services) decided to start his own business in a field he was familiar with, turf management. He had previously worked in the chemical lawn care field, though felt the companies he was employed with did not always do what was right for the customer or their employees. His goal was simple: be honest, be reliable, be fair. Grounds Services was created. He first started off by digging holes, laying mulch and mowing lawns until he was able to focus the business on nutrient-based care and chemical applications for lawns. His core goals; honesty, reliability and fairness, have helped create a shop culture that feels more like a family than a work place.
